Thankful for Change

Well I know its been ages since I've posted here, but my life has been amazingly busy. I moved twice in 6 months, unpacked twice in six months, applied to graduate school, started a new job, and just returned from a conference in Nashville. I have been busy.

Excuses aside, my latest post is posted on my blog and I encourage you to check it out if you have the time.

Thanks all!

its been awhile i know!

So life has been extremely busy lately but i dont think i've been as happy as i am now in the past three years.

I dont work for the law firm anymore and now work monday and tuesday at the church and wednesday and thursday at a marketing firm. Its great. Ive always loved working with the kids, but the marketing firm is also a lot of fun. Its a really interesting job; i've always thought marketing would be something i would enjoy so i feel i get to experience a little of it. My job there though is to handle the billing to the clients etc. I handled my first set this week and I'm excited. I love math, really love math, and now get to do it all day. :) It may sound a little geeky, but something about the way math makes me think, really makes me happy.

With these changes, I've spent a lot of time organizing my life and simplifying. That seems to be the theme right now. Ive been buying storage supplies, bars for my closet, blinds for the doors to my bedroom (they're glass. kind of problematic when changing), shelves, drawers for my clothes- reorganizing like a mad woman. Reorganization is also taking place at the church- has anyone seen my office? I picked out a new color for my office to be painted so it'll feel more cozy, and am working on getting a desk etc.. Add onto that the youth room which is also being redecorated and the reorganization i'm doing at the marketing firm and if i'm not a brilliant organizer by the time this is all over, there's simply no hope for me in this area. no hope at all.. :)

Reorganization is better and when its all said and done, I think my life is going to get a lot simpler and I"ll have more time for myself. IT already is! I went grocery shopping the other day and bought things that take time to cook. Which, might i add, means I get to cook again! Maybe it sounds a little ridiculous, but I havent really really cooked since college. Amazing, i had more time for cooking in college (college, part time job and lots of time at church) then i have had the past two and a half years! Lol. Its these small things that I'm loving are coming bak to me.

Believe it or not, this was going to be a short post... i'll go back to posting on my amazing blog soon... but first, i need to get boxes out of my room! good night all..
